@DoomEternalHype I would say that All Star’s hard counter would most likely be Peashooter. His Gatling can quickly take out the All-Star and the shield. The Chilli Bean bomb can be thrown at the All-Star and his shield, forcing him to move away or possibly get vanquished. The Pea Suped can be really good at avoiding the All-Star’s attack, and the Peashooter’s primary weapon can take out an All-Star in 7 direct shots.
Other good counters are Snapdragon and Chomper. But most of the plants have unique ways of countering the All-Star, similar to the way how zombies can work around Nightcap. 🙂
I'd say anything that forces them and their team away from the shield is a good option. Bean Bomb, Burrow, Flame Pillars, or Goat would probably work well.
- @DoomEternalHype One way that I discovered recently works almost every time as cactus. Just walk up to an all star and they will almost surely try to sprint tackle you. Just place a potato mine right in front of you first, and they'll dash right into it lol
It sounds ridiculous but I've countered All-Stars with my Sunflower.
It's fairly situational and depends a lot of you being accurate with your primary fire and being able to time your self-heals along with being able to track your movement through the Sun Drops while you chip away at the All-Star- and of course you need to be wary of Sprint Tackle and the Imp Punt but if you have some range and maneuvering area that's not too hard most of the time.
