@SubzerotoAs a frequent Acorn main myself, I find the hardest counters to acorn are
Super Brainz- Hyper Jump Thump
The suction is very deadly to Acorn, as it puts him at an easy range for your primary while lowering his heath a good chunk, usually enough to allow you to finish him off with Ultra Flying Fist. Of course be aware of him dashing, but if so he only leaves himself more open to your teammates, without the ability to escape.
Eningener - Bullhorn Swarm or Electric Slide - Primary Stun
As long as you have teammates with you, a stationary Acorn can be dealt with easily. In the current meta he is an insane run-and-gun style character, but he can't deal with groups of any significant number. The average Acorn will dash and sprint away when he encounters a group, but with a well timed stun you can allow for an easy kill for you and your teammates.
Honestly, a good Acorn barely dies. If you can snipe, then Deadbeard can 1-shot Acorns. Otherwise, I think the All-Star and 80s Hero like many mentioned are strong counters. You have high damage and high hp. As an engineer, if you can stun an Acorn, you can win but otherwise it's hard to kill an incredibly skilled Acorn player who jumps around.

This. His health shouldn’t be so high outside of Oak, if we’re using body size/mass to determine health; he’s not larger than Imp?
I’m also a firm believer in trying to balance counterparts of each faction. In this instance, if Oak/Acorn have a Hardened upgrade, the same should be available for Space Cadet/Station,
Disclaimer: I’ve wanted to main Oak since Picnic so in no way do I want him nerfed... just seems the Acorn is one of the more powerful characters in the game now.
