Are You OK Being Penalized for Playing 1 Character vs Another?

What I mean is, every character has their special abilities, and in a pinch those abilities can make or break a given situation, However some characters have their abilities completely negated in certain situations. Such as the Pirate and cactus drones, and corn's butter barrage are useless while inside the final stage of the frozen map, yet the imp can call his mech while inside. Any of those abilities could turn the tide of the game, or allow you or your team members to survive at a crucial moment, but they're unusable. Some characters get full use of their abilities, but some don't.

Is this fair, or do you think it should be fixed?

    The fact that you can't call in airstrikes is debatable. For the in-door sections of the Zomburbia minigame, I din't have a problem with it, as they are clearly indoor and you can use the airstrike outside. What's more annoying during this minigame is the Gravity Grenade spam. Everybody picks the Imps and than they win by preventing you from activating the last event. On Moon Base Z, it's complete nonsense, as you can call in airstrikes in every other bio-sphere. For Greath White North, I'd say that the drones should be able to call in their airstrikes, because they come out of nowhere, but not the Butter Barrage, because it wouldn't make any sense. Just my opinion.

    Yeah I noticed this too. I think the airstrikes not being able to get called in on Great White North is fair as both Plants and Zombies drones get negated air strikes, and you can still use the drones primary weapon. The Corns butter barrage should be allowed or an equal nerf needs to happen or the plants have lost out 1 ability. or yes as you said make it fair if we play by these rules imps should not be able to call mechs indoors.

    Erm, so why not simply change your assault / defence character to something more appropriate for the situation ? Or is that a bit too obvious.......
