I think the poster as little idea about how to play many variants he thinks are underpowered and think some other are more powerful than they are.
Example: the general is fine as he is. He dominates in mid range fights, one of the best variants of foot soldier. No more fear of any peashooter or sunflower. against corn is an even match.
Plasma peashooter is fine too, never had much trouble against them really with any character. Toxic variant is far more dangerous.
Camo cactus is fine. It's a variant I only play while defending. If you know the right sniping spots he's a beast.
And so on.
I suggest the poster to play more the variants he thinks are underpowered and learn how to play them.
PS: some variants obviously needs some love: all party variants, tank commander, commando pea, a few all star and so on.
PPS: ice citron should really be nerfed. it's the only variant who can froze and kill anyone without stop firing. Or you double the heating rate or you double the fronzing rate.
