Battle Chest Guide - Plants Town Center!

Hi everyone,

Attached to this thread are my tips for completing all the Battle Chests successfully in Plants Town Center. This includes tips on how to complete the main and side objectives successfully, as well as knowing what each of them are. Without further ado, let's get started, shall we? The Battle Chests are located opposite the lighthouse in Pressure Pier. 

Battle Chest 1: Ranged Renegades. 

Difficulty: Casual.

Game mode: Surbination.

Bonus Objective: Vanquish 5 Enemies Capturing Zones.

Reward for Completing Bonus Objective: 3,000 coins and 10 tacos.

The bonus objective wants you to vanquish 5 enemies that are trying to capture different zones. Enemies include Captain Deadbeards.

• Stay near an objective, especially if no allies are present. When enemies try to start capturing the zone, vanquish them before they manage to. 
• Use abilities or attacks that affect clusters of enemies, or that are best placed in objectives, such as Potato Mines, to increase your likelihood of scoring vanquishes.
• Occasionally move from objective to objective. If you see enemies trying to capture objectives that your team has, do your best to vanquish them.
• If you see an enemy heading towards a specific objective, follow them and then vanquish them while they try to capture an objective your team currently controls.

Battle Chest 2: Heroic Heroes of Hero-ness.

Difficulty: Normal.

Game mode: Vanquish Confirmed.

Bonus Objective: Vanquish 10 Opponents.

Reward for Completing Bonus Objective: 4,000 coins and 10 tacos.

The bonus objective wants you to vanquish 10 or more opponents in a single match. Enemies include Super Brainz and 80s Action Hero.

• Shared vanquishes count, but assists do not.
• Target one enemy at a time until they are vanquished, then move on to another.
• Make use of your attacks and abilities that deal high damage in order to get vanquishes.
• Use attacks and abilities that work well in groups if the enemies cluster.

Battle Chest 3: All-Star's No-Star Game.

Difficulty: Normal.

Game mode: Gnome Bomb.

Bonus Objective: Defeat 10 All-Stars.

Reward for Completing Bonus Objective: 5,500 coins and 10 tacos.

The bonus objective wants you to vanquish 10 or more All-Stars in a single match. Enemies include All-Stars. All enemies are Champions, so they have significantly increased health.

• Shared vanquishes count, but assists do not.
• Use attacks and abilities that allow you to deal lots of damage at once, such as Pea Gatling, Sunbeam and Potato Mines. Peashooter is a good choice for this challenge.
• Stick near your allies, they will help you damage the champion All-Stars. If your allies get vanquished, try to revive them while providing fire against All-Stars.
• This is Gnome Bomb, so spawns are fixed. Use this to your advantage if you need to find some All-Stars.

Battle Chest 4: Garden Warfare Classic.

Difficulty: Hard.

Game mode: Team Vanquish.

Bonus Objective: Vanquish Each Zombie Hero Type.

Reward for Completing Bonus Objective: 7,500 coins and 10 tacos.

The bonus objective wants you to vanquish one or more of each type of Zombie that appears in this Battle Chest. Enemies include Foot Soldiers, All-Stars, Scientists and Engineer. If you vanquish one or more of each of them, you earn the bonus objective.

• Focus on one Zombie type at a time.
• Try and have allies nearby while you conduct this challenge.
• When you have vanquished a Zombie type, focus on another and try to ignore Zombie types you have already vanquished.
• Apart from All-Stars, the enemies have 125 or less health. Use this to your advantage. Abilities that deal 125 or more damage can prove useful. For All-Stars, try eating them as Chomper.

Battle Chest 5: Discomania.

Difficulty: Crazy!

Game mode: Team Vanquish.

Bonus Objective: Vanquish 3 Disco Zombies.

Reward for Completing Bonus Objective: 10,000 coins and 10 tacos.

The bonus objective wants you to vanquish 3 or more Disco Zombie Bosses. Enemies include Electric Slides and Disco Zombies (boss).

• Shared vanquishes count, you don't have to deal very much damage to get a boss vanquish, so make sure you contribute every time you see a Disco Zombie. However, the boss has to be vanquished to actually give you points, so deal as much damage as you can to the bosses.
• Try and take out any nearby Electric Slides before focusing on the boss. It will make your life a lot easier.
• Use abilities that deal loads of damage at once, such as Pea Gatling, to deal loads of damage to the bosses.
• Careful if the Disco Zombie bosses are spinning. They are invulnerable at this time and deal lots of damage to you at this point.
• Use cover if needed.

As of for winning, if it's:

Surbination, then always try and move from objective to objective (and have as many captured at once). Vanquish any enemies in your way.

Vanquish Confirmed!, then confirm or deny any orbs you see. Mobility characters can help.

Gnome Bomb, then try to defend any bombs you place on enemy tombstones and defuse any bombs that get placed on your garden.

Team Vanquish, then vanquish, heal and revive. Sunflower is an effective choice. I suggest using the Super Saviour upgrade.
