But due to the stuff that you reported on, I think Popcap wanted the game to die/needed the game to die because they were told to work on Skate, maybe they were the only available developers at the time. Imagine if they were told to work on Skate but then the devs decide to make it F2P, then suddenly everyone plays BFN lol. What then? Postpone development on Skate?
So yeah, if you couldn't tell already, I genuinely do believe that there is a lot of potential for more money to be made for EA (not through more microtransactions). They just sent the game out to die with Founders and by the time the game launched, there was no marketing and the hype was gone. Then youtubers stopped making content and the game got more negative publicity online. Instead of doing Repairville and doing a No Man's Sky they just ditched all the work they made.
I understand Skate players need a new game but the way I see it, BFN devs should've been given the time to finish what they were working on (legendary upgrades, Ops phase 3, new characters etc.) first.
