2020 only gets worse and worse. Luckily, it will be over soon.
First a pandemic forcing me to stay at home, even morse so than others (due to my chronic diseases making me more a lot vulnerable).
Then, my favorite game franchise decides to no longer be a thing for a few years (PvZ 3 pulled and BfN's cancellation).
I know they are just games, but I really like playing PvZ the most. My 3 main game franchises are PvZ, Ratchet and Clank and Cities Skylines.
As you can see, I've been waiting for something new to play I would really like for a long time:
Cities Skylines -> 2015
Ratchet and Clank -> 2016, and that was just a reboot of the first game, the last mainline game was released in 2013
PvZ 2 -> 2013, last world added in 2016
BfN October 2019 - June 2020; While it didn't last long, I'm glad it happened. This game brought me so much joy in these dark times.
And the tip of the Iceburg is the recent incident in Vienna. Can't I just hibernate until mid 2021?

I played a lot of Heroes but when I couldn't get the red packs on my Android based phone, my OCD kicked in and I stopped. It's a fun game though.

Thank you fro recommending PvZ Heros!
I'm not into the genre but thought of trying it before. The main things that stopped me are 1) I see a lot of people say the game is experiencing more bugs and needs a balance patch and support has been dropped already 2) from what I understand it is live multiplayer and not asynchronous, like the arena in PvZ?
I like to try things on my own before diving into multiplayer, is that possible in Heros?

@benn1nat0r yes indeed! In fact I played tons of the single player vs AI stuff and so much of the mulitplayer duels although I did some. There were campaigns for both sides.

Many thanks to the both of you for answering my questions 🙂
I checked out the game yesterday and was surprised by how well the style of the other PvZ games is reflected. I will be honest, I'm not totally hooked yet. I have only played the first 3 missions or so and wasn't really feeling entertained ore bored. There very a few moments were I was like "oh this is cool", but for the most part my first impression is neutral. I was mostly confused by many of the terms and explanations the game throws at you. I think it will get a lot better, as Dave says you don't need to worry about that type of stuff and that he will explain it in detail later.
I'll continue to play the game in the following days and will form my opinion of it once I completed the tutorial phase. So far I haven't even unlocked the zombies yet, only the Sunflower Hero.

@benn1nat0rYou can play PvZ Heroes with Al at any time. There were some issues, but they have mainly been fixed. There are bugs here and there, but not particularly prevalent. I am actually really good with the ranked Multiplayer battles, but I prefer battling Al so I do those battles almost all the time.
If you want to check out PvZ Heroes further, you can look at its forums if you wish. I am on there quite often as I really like to try and help others solve their issues and I like to discuss about the game, and I play the game daily (even if it is just for the daily challenge).
