Depends on whether you’ll PvP in the future and whether you want to max rank the game.
I used my favorite character for free roam zones and then got into PvP. By the time I started focusing on max rank, I realized I would have to use my least favorite characters in PvP to max them and wished I’d have used them in PvE.
That said, I’d use my least favorite character for PvE and not only will they level up quickly but you’ll also get more efficient with your weakest character(s).
@spIash_damage Using weaker characters for some of the PvE stuff is something I wish I'd done more of as well - even if it was only opening chests, rather than the main quests.
