Black Hole Bug

I have to say, I was pretty irate in the moment here since those little buddies ended up a pain and then instead of dead were turned into pineclones.

Plant Hero played that supertrick all plants 1/1 buff and as you can see, didn't work.
He changed to pineclones and they were 3/3, but he played molekale right after and the two plants then lost 1 strength.

I don't know if it's a glitch or a bug, but it happened and league play should not have a bug cost the outcome
  • It is teeeechnically not a bug my friend, that's how the game is coded.

The Black Hole only reduces the attack of a plant the moment it "enters" the environment (by either the player putting it there or when the Hole actually pulls the plant).

If it is a 2 attack plant, it is reduced to 1. If the plant has 1 attack, it is reduced to 0. On this game, since the attack of the buddies is 0, the Black Hole "technically" reduced it's attack to -1. But since negative numbers don't exist on this game, it is rounded to 0. After this event (the plants entering the black hole) the buff comes into play, that's why they have 1 attack instead of 0.

Think about it as with the Acid Rain superpower. You have a WallNut, that has 0 attack and 6 health. It is applied the debuff (-1/-1), making it 0 attack and 5 health. Then you buff it with this "rain superpower" (forgot its name). The Wall Nut is now a 1 attack, 6 health nut.  Same thing happened here.

Yeah the game isn't programmed to let attack values be reduced below 0. Makes sense, but still annoying. Therefore the game thinks the -1 has already been set so event the 1+ (-1) = 0, it gives 1  + (0), instead

Some of the rules are annoying being able to get around but good to know. Also then, with a bog of enlightenment and the threenut, I thought I would get a decent buff enter 3/1 and then a +2 because amphibious, but since it was 1/1 it got +2 to make it 3/1, not enter 3/1 and then gets +2. Oh well, it was worth a try to make sure
