I was thinking last night " wow, I really hate this mode." But then I realized I really don't. It's fun when I'm not being steamrolled or steamrolling the other team. More players would help it out and it could be reworked a bit as mentioned in other areas of the thread but it isn't an awful concept.
Turns out I HATE the challenges and that's bleeding out into frustration at the mode. I am so frustrated at spending so much time, energy, and focus on them when they (at least the first two) aren't important to winning the game and rely so much on some teamwork to do a side goal that often has no effect on how the game goes or doesn't even come up if the steamrolling is really going strong. I finally got the first one done with absurd luck. I played 10 more games and never had a chance at finishing a boss because it all moved too fast to get a boss or to keep a boss long enough to vanquish. All the problems with 8v8 are amplified drastically trying to complete this week's map.
So I have changed my general thoughts about this. Mode = could be great with tweeks. Challenges = that brown emoji people are so fond of in game.

So wraps up the first week I simply could not do the challenges. Could not get passed vanquishing a boss. Bosses rarely spawned and if they did they were only available for seconds. Never saw my team or the other team vanquish one. Total fail on challenges this week. I honestly think 8v8 broke this completely. Bummed to miss rainbow stars for the first time after putting in all that frustration. Time for a BfN break.

I managed to get mine with some help from the gods or some other miracle....
but might make you both feel better to know... this weeks mode... I don't think I got them last time this was here.
Jeez this sux 😞- @asabaida I think I did do it last time - think it was the one I got so annoyed I threw the controller at my son & he managed it for me, but then I had to do it again anyway for his account as he refused to try again . . . 🤔😬😭🤣
I'm trying to psych myself up for trying tonight, but pfff! I am so off PvP . . .
Will see how it goes but if after a few games I'm raging, think I'll end up taking a BFN break until the new map comes out. Wait Im confused... didnt the new map come with last nights update?
