Buffs Before Nerfs

This topic was just brought up in another thread regarding Super Brainz so I thought I'd bring this thread back to life.
Since day 1, I've thought a big round of buffs should be applied before nerfing anyone.
I think the game as a whole needs a shorter TTK (time to kill) and increased damage output from most characters (or improved ROF - Rate Of Fire).
Thoughts?
The TTK is too high, especially when mated with how easy it is to escape with the current combination of sprinting/jumping and aiming. Once that issue is fixed, it should be at least a bit better.
It feels that in BfN, too many characters rely more on their abilities rather than their main weapons.
I generally agree that buffs are better than nerfs, as being nerfed can be disheartening whereas being buffed can feel empowering. I do feel some characters may be overperforming though (like Super Brainz as you mention). I'm on the fence here to be honest as some of these characters feel too good to bring everyone up too, but I really don't like screaming for nerfs either.
Is there an official post saying it's about to patch?
Or everything just a discussion?
I prefer buff the server.
Lag is a big issue in 12v12 game.
One shot kills are a problem. Unfortunately some characters have multiple one shot abilities while others are left to fight off attackers with a wet tissue. 98 damage from a primary Pirate is definitely not underpowered, let alone a parrot that 1 shot drops opposing players as well. Barrel blast is also a 1 shot move that is devastating, these abilities are just one character. Adding more of these overpowered in relation to maximum health moves will only create more 1 shot kills.
Damage as a whole needs to be completely re-evaluated, including area damage and velocity. Some of the timing and physics are so completely off that it’s obvious nature becomes easily exploited; making certain character Herculean while others resemble lumps of love piles from the family cat. Rose’s primary attack is probably the most hair ball worthy example of this; it is by far the most inconsistent hit rate and or flat out useless when 1 out of every 4 thistles actually record damage.
Maybe they put me on payroll for a week so I can lend 35+ years of video gaming experience so that we can fix the balance issues. Just an idea. 🤙
