How here ur monthly unwarranted toxic pea complain thread.
I don't even know what is your problem with toxic pea. You said it yourself that he actually have a worse DPS then basic peashooter at DPS. And basic didn't have a great DPS neither to begin with.
Toxic pea just do that he always have done, being annoying a * by spreading toxic DOT with his huge splash. But not actually being any tough to deal with if you go out of your way to get rib of him. Especially if you gain higher ground,in which his amazing splash mean jack * if he can't even hit them. And even then 10 damage splash is weak. 10 DOT over 5 second is also weak.
All at all,he's just the closest thing in GW2 to a clutch character. And thus don't need any change because of that.
Yet the regular pea shooter is balanced.
And there is no such thing as avoiding toxic pea's shots. Even if you do go on the roof, he can just shoot a nearby wall or an edge and it'll hit you.

Who care if it only a 10 damage splash. Or just a one damage splash at the end of it which only exist to reapply the DOT.

If you can't hit them back, then that 14 or so DPS matters a lot.
And you can't hit them back, because they can just hyper or run for cover while shooting.

Toxic pea is just fine as he is, if you can't get away from his dot then you need to MOVE or kill him.

This guy really hates toxic pea. Maybe we should nerf Toxic Pea just to make him less ornery?

I don't have a problem when others use the toxic pea and there are tons of players who utility his advantage splash damage ability. But I ain't a dumb player, I know to avoid getting hit or I kill him. If you've seen mine past posts, I have never complained about Electro Brainz either. When the other team has Electro Brainz(s), I just avoid being in groups with my teammates. And if I want to take out Brainz, I re-position myself to snipe him. What's so hard of a concept is that? Sheesh. Every character I have played in GW2, I have over at least 1.5 ratio player vanquish. It seems like I'm doing something right.
Oh BTW, I ain't abusing his abilities. Toxic Pea was like this from the beginning in GW1. He never got nerfed in that game. Let's admit that you can't play him.
- Anonymous10 years agoCharacters like this are new player friendly and if your aim stinks you can still have good time with as you can apply some pressure and get a few vanquishes. I do well with toxic pea, but I can aim, so I do even better with fire pea or ice pea or plasma or agent or even rock. Almost every variant is better if you can aim and lead targets.
Really doesn't need a nerf and if your seeing a higher representation of toxic pea it's more then likely because they're are alot of either newer players using him or alot of bad aimers. - Anonymous10 years ago

around 20 extra vanquishes per match, just a few right?

Except electro brainz REQUIRES for you to be close to a teammate, toxic pea can just abuse that massive AOE wherever he wants. And nobody who loves a character has anything against other people playing them, because they have a certain mindset that counters it.
Yes toxic pea did only get 1 nerf (like 2 less damage on direct hits), but how does that argument in your favor? Aren't you only proving that i'm right by saying that? And where did you get that I couldn't play him?

The toxic pea needs a splash damage size nerf because all other peas splash damage size in PVZGW2. Its not fair that the pea and fire pea got a splash damage size nerf and the toxic pea still has its powers. When I see a toxic pea I try to aim at it because its so annoying to be shot at and not be able to recover health. Toxic pea require little aiming to hit a zombie and it is overpowered if you camp out with it because you can hit people behind walls easily.
- Anonymous10 years ago@Killerboy2807 again For people who suck at aiming they will probably get a few,or in your case 20,more vanquishes. But for those of us who can aim that just isn't the case, fire pea for example is much stronger overall for anyone who doesn't require the splash radius handicap of toxic pea.

And the game shouldn't be balanced around the good players, it should be balanced around the majority.

One thing has to be taken into account is the tighter and faster paced maps does work in toxic peas favor, but I still don't think he needs a nerf.

Didn't that apply for like...Every peashooter? Heck, plasma pea do that whole "shooting while hiding in cover" way better.
Sound like you're just finding excuse in this point

I do see a lot people using Toxic Pea, usually always 1 or 2 in ever match, but I never found them to be game breaking. Sure they have a large AoE range, but the damage is really only lethal to Imps. And the only time I use her is when I need to get my Assist Master for a mission reward. And not what community you game on, but aside from Assist Master, I don't see them all that often on the top spots for Streak or Vanish Master, usually see Scientists covering that area.

I like how you're defending a broken new character against a character that was created years ago and has been balanced since.
Engineer variants have the same splash as this Toxic variant, should go try them out and then comment.
