Cannot connect to EA servers - Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare in xbox series s

When you launch the game and it prompts you to log into your EA account it says "we cannot complete this action  at this time. If you need assistance please reference help.ea.com or answers.ea.com." neither of them offer any help. I have checked the wifi, logged in to my EA account, created my kids their own EA accounts, and linked them to mine, removed and reinstalled the game and none of this worked! I am now extremely frustrated, please help asap! I purchased this game as a digital download from the xbox store for my kids as a gift and they keep asking if it is working yet!
