I live in Connecticut in the US

I have a lot of trouble connecting to the EA Servers to get to the main menu.

When I finally DO connect to the main menu most of the time the sticker shop wont/isnt connected and closed.

When I join a game of Garden Ops 80% I get booted, or my PS3 freezes.

When I host a game of Garden Ops I can usually make it through one game before the game freezes or the PS3 Freezes.

I have no problem that ive noticed playing any multiplayer games on PVZ:GW Just Garden Ops

I just disabled the Media Server thing that was mentioned and will try the game after that.

As for your "Try this on your internet modem/router"

Thats a completly different language to me, no idea what your talking about either.

I have a Modem that is wireless and it provides cable tv to our tv in the living room and gives my cpu, my ps3, our two tablets, and our two cpus internet access.

P.S. I have absolutely no internet problems with ANY other video game that I own for the PS3 at all.

P.P.S. We shouldnt really have to do ANY of this to our PS3's in order to play this game

    P.P.P.S. War is Hell XOXO

If I plug an ethernet cable into my modem and run it to my ps3 will that improve the gaming?

Or not make a difference at all

In all my years as a gamer, I'm 35,  I have never felt robbed. I bought this as a present for my son,  payed 29.99 for the digital ps3 version and in two months he has only been able to play TWICE. This is just unforgivable. Every other single game in my ps3 has no problems connecting to servers or playing online.

I've tried all those workarounds, and lets be honest, the problems don't lie in the modem or media server options.

I wish EA could see how many times my son has tried to log in, and how many times he's been able to play and consider reimbursing my money, but lets face it, they don't care and they'll never fix these issues.

Very, very sad. I wish more people would just take time researching this game, so they don't literally throw their money away. Very, very sad. I hope you're proud of countless disappointed kids (because I'm sure my son is not the only one) and countless parents feeling robbed.

  • Is the problem in this thread about before you get to the main menu, that connecting to EA servers?

    Is everyone on PS3? What's everyone's region?

@Rikosis  I find it's always better to play games on a wired connection. The thing about Garden Ops is, it's peer hosted, so you are connecting directly to another player. If their connection isn't the greatest, chances are you'll experience issues. Although, that being said, it should not be causing your PS3 to freeze; have you tried reinstalling the game? At what point do you freeze, before/after the garden is planted? Is it a bonus garden?

@UribeArts What's the problem that you're experiencing? Are you able to get to the Main Menu at all?

    @OverclockdToastr

I use a playstation 3 and I live in the North East of the USA in Connecticut.

When I start the game up sometimes Connecting to the Ea Servers trying to get to the main menu doesnt connect.

As for Garden Ops when connecting to someones game (Me not being the host) It will either A) Freeze or kick me from the game before I even enter it. B) I play a few rounds then it will kick me. C) Ill be playing and the game will freeze.

Playing Garden Ops if someone else is the host or Im the host or durring the game it will freeze when it goes to the black screen with the marigold on the bottom right, the loading screen. Sometimes my PS3 will simply just shut down.

Sometimes playing the multiplayer pvp version of the game durring the loading, the game freezes.

When I host my own games this is what happens: A) Everything works beautifully(Sometimes no one joins the games) B) People join the game we play all the way through then on the next game I somehow loose connection. C) Last night I got a Bonus garden and was super excited till I made it to round 5 and it kicked me(I was the host and NO ONE had joined my game)

I have not tried to reinstall the game yet. If thats a possible fix then Ill do it so long as I dont loose any of my levels or stuff that I earned or bought. Ill run an ethernet cable to my PS3 and hope that that helps.
But again and like I said before my PS3 works perfect for my COD games and for the EVE Online Dust Game(Which is also online only with a lot more people playing in the games than the zombie multiplayer maps.

  • When you're kicked, what's the error message say?

All progress and inventory are stored server-side, so you're able to delete the game without losing anything.

I don't understand how this can be considered a solution.  There are numerous posts on this board of people having this issue.  If you are telling people to host their own games then how do we play with others?  This is supposed to be a multiplayer game.  Obviously peer to peer is not working for this game.
