Cannot get past Public ID

Hi, I have bought Plants V Zombies GW 2 for the new Xbox one just purchased. We have an existing EA account, which I have checked is active via PC log in, and we have been playing FIFA17 on this new console, which is an EA game. When we put the plants disk in it asks for Public ID, but when I type the EA account ID and press enter it first of all says the ID already exists - yes it does as its an existing account and if I try to put it in again just removes it clearing the input. I am using the ID which shows on the EA customer portal Account Information. It is however showing a very strange email address ending @anonymous.ea.com??? I am unable to change the email address it is showing. Have anyone any ideas please?
