I have the same problem. When I try to open the game I get a Crash Report Window. I contacted support and gave me several tips including repairing the anti cheat software "picnic", running without the steam overlay, running as an admin but, still nothing worked.
They said they'll escalate my case and to also report the problem here. Someone please help if you've found a solution.
