Hum, first.
Citron needed some kinda of changes, critbox and faster animations simply because wasn't act like a frontliner and rushing objectives, but mostly like a mid range mobile gaitling. He just didn't deserved overheat and damage changes, but maybe some nerf on long range damage (like Electro Citron). Citron at the moment is just overused on console (he was already on pc before this patch) because simply finally people have realize how much citron is useful. One more reason is used i guess, it's also because Chomper, Cactus and Roses are still in a meh state, not bad, not good.
Chomper digest upgrades problem isn't solved. Cactus kit simply doesn't work anymore in this game, and Rose is even weaker to her beta form, when she was considered UP.
And sunflower is still one of the hardest character in the game (but at least she is op right now)
Corn needed accuracy buff, at least default, not sure for Mob because, simply, for a damage dealer assault class was such a shame that his main weapon was unable to do damage while moving and shooting while rushing objectives. His kit is totally different from Foot Soldier (which anyway, he deserve a buff too imho) because he's not a rooftop camper, but more suited to rush in the middle of the graveyard and spamming skills, , and in top of that, all of them are extremely easy to dodge, except from Husk Hop which has a bad indicator of damaged area. The only Corn that makes you think Corn seems op is BBQ, which is extremely broken, and ofcourse need ranged damage to be halved, in the way people will finally play him as an assault class. Corn was terrible before the buff, and infact was next to not used on PC, and i think i never won a single match with more than 3 corn in my team (3 not BBQ corn offcourse) Not joking, i'm serious, and in fact i'm used to hate corn players and call them autistics, especially when i play sunflower and rose and i try help and support them. (TLDR they usually don't give a sh** about me). He simply wasn't able to bring anything else but provide damage to his team, and even, mostly from their skills, which anyway are incredible easy to dodge if you a decent reaction time.
Sharkbite was simply too cheap compared to his counterparts. More ammo, splash damage , better zoom and perfect accuracy, although i perfectly agree the nerf was harsh.
The direct hit damage nerf was needed. The less RoF was not a big sacrifice compared to those things i have stated. Default have more damage but is splitted in more hits with decent recoil (tldr you have to be accurate).
Despite what i said, the splash damage was actually a cool feature, and i think it should be at least 15 to be used. The direct hit nerf was needed though.
