Well. There are 54 gnomes in the game. 2 in each multiplayer Team Vanquish maps. 6 in each Turf Takeover map.
16 in Vanquish maps.
24 in Turf Takeover Maps.
14 in the Backyard.
Yup, checked two guides.
Now that I think about it I remember seeing some posts about a bug they had where the gnomes in the bits where you have to fall over the edge into the hidden cliff were already collected even though they hadn't collected them yet. It's possible that's what you could be experiencing....
What console are you on btw? People keep mentioning bugs on the gnomes but I'm not sure if this is something that just happens to some people or if it's specific to a console.PS4. Found a gnome the guide missed but i double-checked and i got every other despite still missing one. Ugh.
