Chemist is only rather annoying at close range because of his fast, damaging, and all reaching attacks. But outside of close ranges, he can't hurt a fly - which means the player has to rely heavily on warps and positioning to get kills. The Zoologist is pretty much in the same boat, but has much more dps than the Chemist because of his automatic fire.
The only problem is that it's a lot easier for a Scientist to slip through the cracks in the Plant's ranks in this game thanks to the chaos a lot of Super Brainz and Imps can cause. We'd probably see less Scientist spam if people played more Cactus/Peashooter.
Also, sorry, but Impkata needed to be nerfed from its Beta form. It was far too powerful and the range on it was utterly ridiculous.
@DawnOfNoob Impkata needed a damage nerf, but still they could add some cool things, because now seems pretty much a panic button or a button when you go out of ammo.....There are entires matches i play without even pressing it

I give you the answer why the Chemist is OP from the eyes of your average console Joe. BBQ Corn can't counter Scientists, thus the whole class is OP. Makes barely any sense, but casuals on console are ridicioulesly easy free kills for a decent Scientist, and the slow, huge, easy to spot Corn with an enormous hitbox a character that requires an accurate player that knows how position himself and strafe to counter Scientists, which is what your average console player can't do. And before somebody calls me a PC master racist, I have to say that I play this game mainly on PS4, so screw you. (No, I don't and I won't use mouse and keyboard, I use a default PS4 controller)

I main scientist to,even back in the first game. Chemist for me is one of my favorite scientists in the game and I despise the zoologist. I don't get why some people scream for the chemist and pay more attention to him than the zoologist. I think maybe a small damage nerf or ability cool down changes that was mentioned earlier. I think chemist is a bit balanced since he has low clip size, very close range, and a long reload time. Zoologist just blows all that out of the water. He has rapid fire which is a big thing in my eyes that makes him so much more powerful than the chemist since that was one of the big downsides needed because of his damage. But seriously fast fire rate, decent clip size, decent reload speed, and big damage. The only downside is the very close range for him, I think it is really the zoologist that needs the attention than the chemist.
I also want to add that archeologist could use some love cause he just can not compete with his other varients just like commando pea.
P.S from what I have read with people calling for scientist nerfs and why, I guess I am one of the few people who play his role properly. Dunno if I am the only one here who puts my entire focus towards healing and revives than flanking and killing the entire time.

@cmh05171Let's not cute Chemist damage.
Why always a nerf is a damage nerf?
Just a little nerf to cooldown will make them less impactful as assassin.
And i really agree with archeologist buff@xxSe4l-MLG420xxDo you play both Pc and Ps4?
What do you think are the most differences? I played a couple of time at a friend house and more or less i have an opinion.- 9 years ago

Also, but I love the assassin gameplay... D;
