I think Chomper is a solid character when used correctly, but many people are complaining about him so I think he should have some form of a rework or tweaking. I think the primary concerns are his Spikeweed and Burrow. If these are reworked into a less gimmicky, more reliable ability, I think people would enjoy him more.
1. Spikeweed is in desperate need of changes. It feels too on and off with the amount of times it captures someone and feels very weak. I think it should have a small radius where it grabs enemies and drags them towards it to deal damage. The grab would do around 25 damage and the zombie pulled in would take 35 damage from the actual Spikeweed. Another change would have the Spikeweed had a more longer dropoff (launched farther). I think it would improve the distance it could be shot and its performance.
2. Burrow and the eating element he has also needs changes. I think Burrow should have a two results on enemies. If an enemy is 40 health or below and Chomper can burrow them, then Chomper will eat that zombie. If the enemy is 41 health and above, then Chomper jumps and does a weak bite doing 35 damage.
I think these changes would make his playstyle a little more dynamic and get rid of suicide Chompers in some way.
