co-op for the campaign on switch

On the switch version of pvz battle for Neighborville why isn’t there any co-op for the campaign? Why can’t you play with someone in town center or weirding woods for example and be able to have help with the more difficult things to do like the battle box on crazy mode? It is ridiculous that the switch edition wasn’t given that option even with having two or more switches.
