Community Challenge
Do anyone know about you need to complete a whole garden OPS or only a round? We completed 9 rounds at it dosent count. The description of the event says every round counts. :-)
You've to complete 1 full round (1-10 waves) until extraction, this count as one.
Surviving the last boss wave and extraction point is definitely not easy for the crazy mode, but this's what the challenge about.
If you completed with 4 players, it will count as 4 for the community.
You can track the progress here real time (just keep refreshing your browser): It moves pretty slow.
I just did it with my little one. It's challenging for my little one, especially after wave 5....start getting intense.
As right now, it's only 12K, looks many players are kids and they're having a hard time to finish a full round.
I just played a late night round with Ohmyguts that was joined by a couple others. Enchanted graveyard, jackpot wave, and super boss wave yielded 55K coins, I've never seen a take like that before! I did a solo round earlier that only made around 22K.
Based on current pace, we only 17K/day, we won't even get the coins, don't mention special items.
Looks Popcap miss estimate :
1. Communities abilities to pass crazy (many are kids).
2. Number of communities in total (< 225K).
3. Should count waves instead of round to make it more doable.
Crazy level, all members need to be on top of it, so if 1-2 member down, it significantly increases the workload for remaining members, especially when have a super boss wave.
So I consider this community challenge as a failure since this one is not properly calculated by Popcap to be doable.
I will just use it to level up my character quickly....since this's the only time the community ever consider/try crazy garden ops.
Planting pots will help a lot to level up quickly since pot kill count as experience for the player planted it....now, I'm racing to plant it first 🙂
What was PopCap thinking when they came up with this? This community challenge is rendered impossible.
The three chest targets for this challenge are ten times higher than what they should be.
Frankly, I think EA should step in and approach PopCap about this community challenge. If the community fails to unlock even the yellow chest (a first for GW2), PopCap will be in serious trouble; never know what happens next.
10 waves count as 1 round then. I just came to find that out.
I think somebody made a boo boo there, since most people don't know what they're doing.
Chompers against mega bosses isn't going to cut it, & sunflowers not healing won't get you to the end.
The best thing to do is to see what everyone else is using and try to pick something that helps out.
If there's no sunflowers, be a sunflower & heal everyone up, so long as it's not a triple chomper team - otherwise it's a surefire loss no matter what else you take in.
Take in a torchwood, if you have it, or use something with decent health and firepower.
Try to be something different to everybody else. Too many identical characters isn't necessarily a good idea.
Choose a super elite or master character & upgrade ammo, reload time, damage, overload or blast radius traits, it all helps.
Sadly, I had to give up.
Too many people hanging around in corners doing nothing, or losing their connections, rage quitting or picking characters that don't stand a chance.
This leaves the rest of the team with a decent character or two down & the weaker ones still in play, making it almost impossible.
I don't think too many people like putting down bots in a game they aren't hosting either, due to losing connection or sessions expiring and sending them back to the back yard, meaning they used them up for nothing, since you get no rewards if you're sent back to your yard early.
I agree with everyone else here, it should have been waves, not rounds of 10 and a successful escape.
We have problems with some of the boss hunts too, but that's another topic.
Unfortunately, it looks like most people have given up because they asked for too much this time around.
Just over 44,700 at the time of this post. I don't think we're going to make the first reward with just over 19 hours left.
