The Grass Still Grows!

Frontline Fighters was the final major content update for Garden Warfare 2, capping off almost a year of massive post-launch releases. It’s been incredibly exciting to deliver more and new ways to experience this crazy shooter and it’s been just as thrilling to see you embrace these features which included:

  • The introduction of Time Challenges, Community Challenges and Mystery Portal Events
  • Three new game modes
  • A brand new way to play with split screen online
  • Five huge new maps
  • Two all new unlockable character classes
  • New quests in the Backyard Battleground
  • A variety of collectable characters and thousands of new customization items

The fun doesn’t end here though as we still have a ton of content planned for Community Challenges, the Mystery Portal and seasonal events (like Luck O’ The Zombie!). In addition there will still be plenty of map tuning and balancing.

Thanks for playing and we’ll see you on the Lawn!

  • This is sad... I was hoping the game would last longer...

Meanwhile we're still waiting for them to fix the Epic Dillo Derby hat of the engineer....

It's like R* with GTA, giing some * new stuff like adversary modes but at least they have some big DLC's too, and for a 3 years old game, they've done better than this !

If it's just continual fixes for GW2, that's fine.

I've already talked about my vision for GW3 in a previous thread, like new characters, more elemental versions for existing classes, a revamped character performance list (with a slider menu mirroring 2005's NFS: Most Wanted), our ability to create our own relaxing spaces for each side, new and existing maps, better graphics, a re-designed customization list, no need for a persistent online connection to play GW3 (which I feel is really important when you think about the poorest of people in the world that cannot afford the internet, let alone the monthly internet bills), and many more.

Only EA and Popcap can have the final say on what GW3 will be. Until then, we'll keep guessing.
