Confused reaction to the Trials

I'm one of the fortunate PS4 Players who consistently received a Key to a Trial every week so I've finished the Trials, opened the fifth Portsl and did the grind to unlock the character chests at the end so I've got both the Torchwood and the Hover Goat 3000.

Since I've started to use these new characters I've been inundated with questions about how I got them from people who are surprised and confused. So much so that I'm starting to think that those of us who have been actively discussing the Trials might be a minority- Iwhen I explained about the characters I've actually had players who didn't even know what the Trials were and had not even used or noticed the key in Town Hall which unlocked the giant locked door in the sewers.

Has anyone else been met by this same level of confusion or am I just being placed with s bunch of casual or new players who weren't curious at all about the new content?

First, my hearty congratulations at your good luck.  I've only gotten two of the four keys so far.   While I'm not extremely social when I play, I have heard several comments to the effect of:   "I picked turf takeover so why am I playing this?"  This would certainly seem to suggest that communication by mail went unread, missed, or misunderstood.

As an off-topic aside, I quickly earned the stars to open the chests = no key.  Now I don't want to play the weekend mode anymore because I can't choose the game I'd prefer to play and am forced to play the weekend game.  Thus, I have moved back to DAIMP and have even considered seeing if anyone is still playing ME3MP.  Unintended consequence of forcing everyone to a single type of game play, I think.

  • I too have completed the trials and have players follow me around and ask me.

Seems there's many upset casuals on here/in game.
  • After five weeks of discussing this update with other players I was just naturally assuming that everyone was pretty much on the same page, but since finishing I think we're outnumbered by the players who don't know anything about it.

I had some kid actually yelling at me today that I needed to tell him how I got the Hover Goat 3000 and he didn't have a single clue about anything I tried to explain. Another guy pretty much panicked when I joined Graveyard Ops as the Goat because he was certain a "hacker" had entered the game.

Yes, I've been surrounded by other players and received friend requests asking how I did it.

Part of the problem is casual players and the other is Popcap not throughly explaining this. Most casual players won't look online for answers. They expect to be told.

Players seem to target me when I play as Goat or Stumpy lmao!

It's like opposing players make it their goal to get me! -__-

I've also noticed that if you use the turbo ability with Goat, any player running next to you will also cause them to dash forward

    Is this a glitch?

I take it as a good sign that the player base is being refreshed.  We hear so much about how "the game is dying."

The speed boost is supposed to "bleed" out and envelope any teammates who are close enough to you. It's a great ability to use during Gnome Bomb when you're next to the carrier or generally when you are near a Mech to give them that speed boost to get to where the action is happening.
