Corn is Now Crud!
I just don't get it. Popcap you have a blueprint from GW2 for how Kernel Corn should work. But you chose to chuck it, and instead give us THIS! I had not played him until now, but man, he is terrible...
I mean, its a different game. Things are gonna be different.
But I do agree Corn needs buffs. The enemy reveal should last longer imo, and the shuck shot is worthless.

True enough, but i think a certain level of familiarity was in order here, and i don't just mean aesthetics. They should have known changing characters would have a negative impact on series veterans. Some of the changes just don't make any sense, they seem like changes, for changes sake lol.

Butter Beacon was a weird change to me at first but it's actually quite good, especially in PvP. Not only do you get a damage bonus against zombies in the AoE of the beacon, but you get to see where they are, even behind obstacles, and you get xp when your teammates vanquish them inside the AoE (highlight xp or something like that). The time it revealed a space station, 80s Action Hero, and Super Brainz behind a wall was a time I avoided getting vanquished, and that was just an extreme example. It is less useful in PvE but you still get a damage bonus with it and your main weapon, and it reveals enemies in that area.
As for husk hop, it's much better here than in GW2, I haven't had it bug out in BfN once but in GW2 it wasn't a rare event. Not only does it bug out in GW2 a lot, 2 weeks ago I was playing on Kernel Corn in GW2 and it failed twice in a row, but they've made it so you can jump even further in BfN than prior to the patch! In GW2 it's a common issue for husk hop to not work at all, you just jump really high, drop no kernels at all, and don't even flip over, or you do flip but if an enemy is judged 'too close' by the game, you do flip over and drop kernels but you get no lateral movement at all and simply drop the whole payload where you were just standing and you land at that spot too!
They may need to adjust corn vs. the solider as corn got no damage buff but he's far from crud.
Edit: The Beacon should indeed last longer. I need to use shuck shot more after this patch to judge that better, but it was annoying before the patch for sure.
