I got the short stick, buying that game turned out to be one of the worst decisions in my life. Current state of the game I will describe in 1 word:
UNPLAYABLE
As a old-school player of GW1 and GW2 I know what I'm talking about, the difference in fact of actual "fun" (for me) is so huge between those and BFN that I will delete it soon.
The GRINDING in that game is soooo huge, the Bugs are insane, the settings are overwhelmingly underwhelming, I cant aim for * (when I go to gw2 I do!).
The balancing is upper GARBAGE. Balance is the key to everything, but the developers seem to be living behind a wall without a door.
The variants are gone and will not come back, which means this game is just a bunch of sprinting wannabe-tryhards using the same classes alllll over again!
And yes we had such players in gw and 2, but here its on another level.
The bugs just make it worse.

I think they are trying their best to fix the game. When you have a community that wants this or that and say this is balanced or this isn’t balanced, it’s hard to listen to who. The game has problems, but so did many games when they first release. Especially since it’s a multiplayer game, they can’t satisfy anyone nor are they trying to. They are already trying to balance for fair gameplay instead of having 100+ variant classes running around. Most games have 100+ classes 7-10 years after they are released. The game is trying, that’s why it’s not $60, and released would only be $40. They are trying to gain a larger audience again by reducing the price. Plus I never heard of a battle pass 100% free like this one coming in October. There’s usually always a paid track.
- 6 years ago@arit0824 I agree with some of your arguments. However my focus is mainly not about balancing. But more on the bugs and transparency of the game. As you said, they are trying to fix the game. My argument is that many of the bugs and bad gameplay (ops) should've been known during the production time. No matter how hard they are trying to fix it right now, still cannot cover the fact that they release the game even though they did not play test enough and haven't fix the bugs.

For people who thinks that we already got a 10$ off so it might be okay to have all these glitches as long as they fix it.
I don't think that's how it works. Many games has a discount for pre-order, you cannot simply become tolerant simply because you got a discount.
Also the BfN website specifically pointed out itself that the founder edition "is not a beta". If they really want to work with us and fix the bugs, they should've just perform an official beta test and work more closely with us. And 6 weeks is way to short for the amount of problem this game currently has. I really hope next time they can do testing in a correct way.
(And the attitude problem I mentioned before is like the case here, if it's a beta, just be honest with us, thank you.)
