I was one of those whales getting the 200,000 coin infinity packs and I agree they are more 'big time' than the regular packs. I used my coins for the first ever offering of the infinity packs (Sept. 2016) and as I opened the character pieces started slow. Then they came very quickly after around 2 million (a few packs had nothing but character pieces) and I think that is all I spent for all of the infinity characters. I bought all of the coins I needed so I don't know if they fast track the character pieces somehow based upon earned vs. purchased coins. I wanted to avoid infinity time and I think a 5 year old would grow weary of playing infinity time for that amount of time required to get all of them. I don't regret spending those coins but it did set me back $50 or so. When I first purchased the game in April of 2016 I went balls in immediately with getting all of the additional character pieces via sticker packs no matter what the coin cost or if I had to buy (except Unicorn, that obviously took me longer). I had success at first and I figured the drop rate for the character pieces would slow over time so that is why I went on a spending spree (that and my own 8 year old was impatient). I don't regret that either because it was relativity painless getting the character pieces, although frustration always sets in at times. I now read all of these posts since about trouble with obtaining character pieces, 5 million or 8 million coins...wow. I am not pointing fingers at EA but it appears it was easier earlier.
