Does the XP multiplier ever get reset to zero?

Does the experience multipler (one of the reward for completing challenges) ever gets reset back to zero? Mine appears to have permanently been locked at 2X. Don't get me wrong I appreciate leveling ...

Does anybody know the exact time the multiplier starts to decrease? Is it already after 24h or more?

I was offline for two days and it went down from 2 to 1.75x. I didn't know it would do that, kinda sucks to be honest.

    I played yesterday, did many quests from board and today I'm on 1.75 with only few hard quests left. I hope this was not the goal of correction, or was it? I agree with decreasing multiplier but not this way please, it's very annoying and I'm a bit disappointed. We should have a chance to increase decreasing multiplier if we are doing quests and play the game almost every day but now it seems developers have taken this chance away.
