Forum Discussion
Quick example. I just looked at the replies on this general forum and in total we only have about 5,000 replies..ONLY 5K??? More people than that live in my city alone. And the front page of the forums has some replies from literally days ago. You know I may just be use to overwatch where there are thousands of people commenting and replying on a day to day basis but the point is that this game has brought people like me away from games such as that to start playing your game. I hope to continue playing this game but it's really hard to play when I have no one to play with. Its currently 12:45 where I live and this is prime time when i start having trouble finding matches( but this is when I am able to play, I have a life, I work and have a social life). If anyone has any input on how to help this situation please do tell. All comments welcome. Even though my post can be seen as negative please...Positivity only🙂
@cylvvHi, I agree with a couple of your points, in that I don't think there was a massive marketing campaign for the game, so atm the main players are PvZ fans who've been wanting & waiting for a new game. Don't know the reason for this - it may be that there will be an increase in advertising in the run-up to Christmas??
It would be great to find games at all hours, but as you've said, this game isn't Overwatch. Although many adults play the PvZ games, they are PEGI-7 & marketed towards children. I think BFN has a far bigger proportion of children playing than the previous games do / did, so the busiest lobbies will be when the kids are around. If you can't find decent lobbies at the times you're playing, you may need to change the region & bear in mind that with so many game modes, not all are going to be populated all of the time - especially while challenges are going on which usually are best being completed in a certain mode. There are definitely some match-making
issues, as you'll see from other posts, so hopefully it may get better after that's been sorted.
Another thing is that we're all divided between platforms & I think PC probably has fewer children than console. So it's difficult - we can only hope things improve, I guess.
As for the forums, it would be great if more people used them but there are other ways of discussing things that people are using, Discord etc. The forums could probably benefit from being advertised more as well - I only discovered they existed when I signed up for the game's alpha.
However, those of us here are long-time fans & players, so at least you're getting quality!! 😂

They've got their money from this game, there's probably a bit more to be had but it wouldn't surprise me if they've cut their losses on this one and are already working on the next one, Garden Warfare 3, the game fans actually wanted!

Once mechanics and balancing are sorted, this could be an epic success with proper marketing...
