Easy way to get a S rank on gnome targets room
Its very easy just be a any character that shoots a large explosive. The easiest to get the s ranks are the pea shooter or engineer. note: explosives attack the targets through walls.

I think the other benefit for playing peashooter and engineer is their increased movement speed combined w/their AoE shot.
