Event card Packs that cost Gems

Will there ever be Event Card Packs that cost Gems? I can purchase all the original plant and zombie packs with Gems but after I've obtained enough copies then we should be able to buy Event Card packs with Gems or they'll become just as useless as Hero Coins are.

with the new update, if event cards is included in decks recipes, you can buy the cards with gems. check your new updated games
