I've just tested it on my Xbox One and I can confirm that it is definitely related to reordering.
Steps to reproduce: -
1. Add "Hello" and "Hey" emotes to your favourites, so "Hello" is first and "Hey" is second. Everything works fine at this point.
2. Reorder them so "Hey" is first and "Hello" is second.
Now when you trigger "Hey", your character says "Hello" and when you trigger "Hello" your character says "Hey", so it's triggering whatever emote was in a given position when it was first added, rather than the re-ordered positions.
This doesn't affect the feed at the lower left. Also, I don't know what other players are seeing as I've not been able to test that.
Obviously, a temporary workaround for this is to remove everything from your favourites, then re-add things in the order you want them to be in, because as long as you don't use the "reorder" option, the correct emotes will display.
There is definitely another cause to this bug, cos even after removing all of my emotes then re-adding them without reordering them, I just played a game where the wrong emotes were triggering again, but back when I was in Giddy Park, they were working fine.
- @SigmaTheDJ Thanks for saving me the job of trying that - was going to do that today! That's very strange! All the errors I've noticed have definitely been favourite selections - I didn't have much playtime yesterday but tried using lots of speech & emotes on things I haven't had as favourites & didn't have problems there. Also used favourites I know for sure I didn't reorder (both in GP & turf) and again no problem. I'll try today to find out what other people are seeing in the bubbles I'm having problems with
