Terminology
Main = Your main/favorite character.
Nerf = Decrease/Reduce
Buff = Increase/Improve
Frag = Kill
Grind = Takes forever and/or is extremely repetitive (usually referencing low reward/high effort scenarios).
No Scope/Hip Fire = Firing your weapon without zooming/using your scope.
Rez = Revive (comes from resurrect)
Mod = Anything that modifies default game/mode settings.
Pure = Servers without mods.
Stix = Joysticks (usually referencing game controllers)
Trello = Read HERE... (one of developers' communication platforms)
Max Rank = The highest possible/achievable level to upgrade ALL characters.
Deto = Detonation (usually referencing detonation characters)
Hitscan = Weapons that impact enemies immediately/in straight line/without delay.
Trajectory/Projectile = "Lob" style weapons that have a delay and usually do not move in a straight line.
Farming = using a repetitive technique or method to achieve an award... grinding can be a form of farming (definition above), modded devices can be programmed to farm, and people do things such as AFK’ing (definition below) to farm. Usually, any true objective is disregarded and a part of the game that gives rewards will be exploited to bypass earning rewards as developers intended. This usually reduces the time it takes to earn rewards.
Acronyms
PvP = Person vs Person
PvE = Person vs Environment/Enemy (playing vs bots/AI)
OP = Overpowered (referencing in-game), Original Post or Original Poster (referencing in-forum)
XP = Experience Points
HP = Health or Hit Points
AI = Artificial Intelligence
NPC = Non Player Character
TTK = Time To Kill
FOMO = Fear Of Missing Out
AFK = Away From Keyboard (or controller)
P2P/PTP = Pay To Play
P2W/PTW = Pay To Win
RNG = Random Number Generator (references something Random)
DPS = Damage Per Second
KD/KDR = Kill to Death/Ratio
PUB/PUG = Public Servers or Pick Up Games (non-competitive)
AOE = Area Of Effect
ADS = Aim Down Sight (using your scope)
FoV = Field of View
OTS = Over The Shoulder (usually referencing third person shooters)
POV = Point Of View
MMO/MMOG = Massive Multiplayer Online/Game
MMORPG = Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game
MOBA = Multiplayer Online Battle Arena
RPG = Role-playing Game
SIM = Simulation
DLC = Downloadable Content
FPS = First Person Shooter
3PS/TPS = Third Person Shooter
PC = Computer
KBM = Keyboard/Mouse
PS4 = Playstation 4
PSN = Playstation Network
CB/OB = Closed or Open Beta
1v1 = One versus One
GOAT = Greatest Of All Time
META = Most Effective Tactic Available (now often references the most played character/top of leaderboards)

GW1 = Garden Warfare 1
GW2 = Garden Warfare 2
TT = Turf Takeover
TV = Team Vanquish
GG/G&G = Gardens and Graveyards
GB = Gnome Bomb
CTT = Capture The Taco
VC = Vanquish Confirmed
BC = Battle Chest
CvD = Cats vs Dinos (GW2)
EP = Electro Pea/Electric Peashooter
SB = Super Brainz
NC = Nightcap
CP = Community Portal
GP = Giddy Park
Swooce = Term coined in GW2 for continually jumping in order to maintain forward momentum/transverse maps quickly.
Backyard = GW2's version of Giddy Park.
