Forum Twitter Feed

The addition of the Twitter feed on the topics page has been great, but I'm wondering if at some stage it would be useful & possible to add John Lunasco's tweets for the benefit of those not on Twitter?

John posts a lot of relevant game information, particularly about updates / problems with updates that never seems to feed in via the official PvZBFN.

Opinions, folks?

  • I agree its always seemed a bit strange to me... often times John or Rob Davidson post info and it is missed here in the Tweet section....
that said if PVZ retweet Rob and Johns posts for instance... would they appear here?

@ToastedSarniewell if that's the case, how daft.... the Twitter feed here would seem mostly useless then in regards to Bfn specific Tweets.

There’s so much going on like this it makes my head spin.  Truly couldn’t feel like a less important part of PvZ than by being in this forum.

  • @ToastedSarnie I think it is ridiculous that they post updates on twitter when EA has this website here. Seems crazy that one has to check 3 different places (here, trello, Twitter) for a game that has a dedicated message board on EA servers. I think so young kid just likes to flex his social media game.

What irritates me even more is that they give the game away for free on Twitter (via game codes) when they have a dedicated crowd that keeps this web space alive. It’s typical corporate behavior, get money from new followers while dismissing those that you have already bled dry.

This is my number one complaint regarding the community.

Use social media, get respect, appreciation, and prizes for your 10-30 seconds of effort.

Spend HUNDREDS of hours sifting through terabytes of footage, get ignored.

I play video games to avoid real life crap such as this....? 🤷🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️

I still don't understand the reasoning behind tweeting instead of posting things here in the first place. The only reason I pay any attention to Twitter and Reddit at all was originally for GW2 news (and now BfN news). I can see posting it to all 3 platforms, but the focus really should be on these forums that are specifically for this game and the community.

Good suggestion. I'll put it through the channels.

It may be the case that only one account can stream to the feed per board - it looks like that from glancing at the guts of the machine - but I'll talk to to our admin to see if it can be done.
