Found out what happens when you draw all the cards

Today I was playing as a zombie hero against someone who had mostly tricks in his deck that destroyed zombies. I was able to do 16 damage to him in the end. He kept healing, but one of my quests was do 20 damage as Brain Feeeze, so I know I did 16. At the end I think he was back at 20 health due to healing, and I was at 16 or 17 with no healing. When we drew the very last cards the game ended (I was hoping we’d have a chance to play them, but that didn’t happen.) The game said I won. So either I won because I did more damage to him overall, even though he healed, OR it was a draw and it counted as a win for both of us?

Either way it was a VERY BORING game, players who do that are defeating the purpose of the game, so I hope it wasn’t a draw, I hope he lost and learned his lesson.

  • I've never had this happened to me. Was this in a normal ranked game? The longest fight i've had lasted about 18-19 rounds with me losing at the end. We both ran out of cards from around round 11 and just kept using whatever was drawn each round after that.
  • It's hard to tell if you both won or not. The problem being, you can play more than one card in a round, so your opponent may have used more cards and therefore you won as you had cards to draw. If you both only used one per round and both run out it means you lose, both of you. At least that's what I've seen.

I'm amazed people run out of cards. Especially zombies. Clique peas and going viral can negate it.
  • You won because your opponent ran out of cards. Happened to me 3 times:

I was shocked the first time it happened to me, because I didn't knew what happened. The game just automatically gave the win to my oponnent. I was playing a heavy card draw deck with Rustbolt the first 2 times it happened, with tons of Kite Flyers, Pots of Gold and Fun-dead Riser. So I guessed it happened because there were no more cards left in my deck.

The 3rd time I was playing as Rose and was facing a Prof. Brainstorm that ALSO had a heavy card draw deck. It happened the same thing, just the other way around. At the start of the turn 16 (or something like that) the game just gave me the victory.

So, it was because of that.

I was playing an imp deck with Gigantus and for a bit I had two commanders out. I swear I had to have done at least 50 damage to this guy but on the final round of the game I kinda killed myself with space cowboy because I couldn't get the commander off the board, so the second time the cowboy hit it just hits the music and I see plants win.... I was irate, and later I realized what happened

We were at 36 brains/sun, so it was definitely my last card, but he had played some tacos, so I guess he ran out just before I did. He also must have played one or two cards that dal more cards into his deck, or maybe there was one or two turns where his hand was full because he should have run out before that since he played three or four tacos.
