My opinion sharkbite laser variant is the best sniper slightly edging out zen and camo, but his toolkit is so much better all around. Barrel for mitigation and close range, shotgun, parrot bomb near immediate explosion. Other then the shark laser guy though I don't think the other variants are all that strong for snipers. I'd even rank the camo foot soldier above the other captains and near on par with cactus.
Cacti need something that's for sure to replace tall nut and possibly a different option for potato mines that could have better offensive applications. And it really makes no sense that they don't do thorns damage to melee attackers. Punching a cactus should kill a superbrains. Or at least jack him up good.

That's actually not a bad idea if they replaced the cactus Tallnut with a 1 off spike spray ability where he uses his thorns to kill something at close range, might make them sneaky scientists on the rear think twice. Maybe a variance sort of like what zoologist does but as a single use ability.
Also if they gave the sunflower an alternate to his sunbeam for something close range or his pot plant/heal beam such as the scientist so he has an option to defend itself at short range or keep on the offensive as the rooted abilities are a more defensive option and sunbeam places a huge target on you much like any charge up characters that stand out.
- Anonymous10 years ago@Unfadeable777 to each his own, it's funny though it seems you read like half of a post then make assumptions. I was one of the first people to mention that there would be an imbalance if they nerfed release Rose without adjusting some plants. Ive also tried to suggest solutions that would help balance the game better without breaking it more in the opposite direction.
The only opposing views I've had with you in particular is that in my ps4 experience plants don't "lose 5x more" or "get dominated every match" . From my experience the only time plants are guaranteed to lose is when NOBODY uses rose, portals are a thing heh, who knew?
I've been cautioning over buffing and over nerfing because that is what screws the game up and creates even more imbalance. Small tweaks both ways are what's needed and what I've been suggesting until class reworKS are made.
You seem to attack anybody who disagrees with the zombies are better at everything and completely outclass plants stance. They don't. They're just easier to play for beginners and people who can't aim for *. I assume that's why people like you have better success with and why typically you fail as planta.
That's an imbalance though and should be looked into no doubt. But other then making plants mirror classes do you have a solution. Or is it still buff plants nerf zombies ? - 10 years ago

Or is it still buff plants nerf zombies ?Yes sir agreed totally on point, the nerfing would be so much better if they brought things down a little then see how they pan out before overdoing it and if they are still overpowered debuff a little more next update. They should also not do debuffs and rebuffs in the same update because the power balance changes dramatically.
Plants are not entirely underpowered no there is 2 zombie classes in particular solely responsible for driving down plant power. Don't get me wrong there is plenty of OP zombie classes but the same goes for plants. - Anonymous10 years ago
Chatting after playing on the European server I realized there has been some miscommunication. More to the point I wasn't being clear. When I say zombies win 90% of matches in Turf takeover, I didn't mean that they reach the end 9 out of 10 times, I meant that when a team makes it to the end at least 90% of the time its zombies. at least that much.
Hope that clears some things up. When I play plants I am very good at stopping them. I stop them probably 5 out of 6 times most on first or second objective. But as plants we make it to the end once in a leap year. I seriously wish they would release the stats but I am pretty sure its too embarrassing to do so considering how long they have waited to patch.
- Anonymous10 years agoI appreciate the second thought and I'm thinking we want the same thing.
The real solution here I think is to implement a system to quickly adjust character stats on the fly as problems emerge so that people aren't waiting weeks or even months for stupid broken characters to be adjusted or lame ducks to be fixed.
