Since the latest update my disc will not load on my xbox one x. It tries to load then says insert disc. I have tried reinstallig the game but still won't work. It will however work on a different console with no issues. Is this because of a bad update and what can I do to fix it please??

Hey @Tryoxis I would recommend trying to clean off the Disc, and clearing your MAC Address on your Xbox. Go to Settings, Network, Advanced Settings, Alternate MAC Address, and Clear. Then fully turn off your Console for 30 seconds or so, and turn it back on. Let us know if this works for you. Thanks 🙂 - iluminate

Hey @Tryoxis Do other games you have on Disk work as well? Can you try doing a Factory Reset on your Xbox, without removing any of the games? You can also try doing a Power Cycle by unplugging the Power Brick for a couple minutes, and plugging it back in. Once that's done, try loading the game again and see if it works. Just tried it and no, it's exactly the same 😔 the only good thing is that the network speed has improved alot 😂😂

@Tryoxis When you did the Factory Reset, did you go to your System Settings, and make sure your Xbox is still up to date with the Firmware and everything? Thanks 🙂 - iluminate

First off, I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you're suddenly having with the game since the latest update. It's very strange though that the disc is able to work on a different Xbox and not yours. To leads me to immediately believe something may be faulty with your Xbox's disc drive with it having trouble reading that specific disc.

I don't know if there is an option for you to try out another disc whether it be a friends or a rental version, but if another disc version of the same game works in your disc drive I think it would be safe to assume it's faulty disc. Are there scratches on the disc or was there any permanent marker/pen marks on the top of the disc? Some people wrote on discs in the past but now that can cause issues with the laser reading it.

Even though you have automatic updates enabled, would you mind going to your Xbox Settings and just double-check to verify you have it fully updated?

@EA_Blueberry My disc is like new, no marks or anything. Its pretty much been in my xbox since I bought it haha, and no, it's been nowhere near any kind of pens/ markers of any Kind. We have manually checked the xbox and its fully up to date. But sadly I don't have access to another disc that I could try. No one I know plays it and there is no where that I know of that I can rent one 😕 it's just very odd that all my other discs work and this one works in another xbox

With the disc working in another Xbox I'm concerned there might be an issue with the reader in your Xbox. Have you reached out to Xbox Support to see if they are able to provide troubleshooting from their end for disc reading errors?

@EA_Blueberry I originally looked through their trouble shooting options which was the same advice as iv been given on here but I haven't actually spoken with anyone. I will try it and see if they can help.
