Garden Warfare 2 Intel HD/R9 M275X Driver Issues

Trying to play Garden Warfare 2 - when loading I'm told in need to update my Intel driver... running a Lenovo Y40-70 AMD Radeon R9 M275. I have done a clean install on both video cards - with the most updated version, tried disabling the Intel HD video card... everything possible and and searched for days... all my other games play fine so I know there has to be a solution... please help!

First of all go into Power Options press the windows key and type "power options" and select high performance as your profile.

Then go to Advanced settings, Wireless Adapter Settings, Power Saving Modeand choose Maximum Performance.

Finally, go into Device Manager, find your device, right click on it and chooseProperties.

Go into the Power Management tab, and uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".

Now you need to do this.

    Removes drivers http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/AMD-Clean-Uninstall-Utility.aspx

Now use driver detect tool  http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/auto-detect-tool

Then reinstall updates drivers (crimson 15.12)  http://support.amd.com/en-us/download

    Restart your PC.

Followed all steps provided and unfortunately no change so my son has not taken over my personal game rig - still feels like game is not even attempting to run on the dedicated graphics card... this was the same issues we had when we first played the new battle front on this system.  I have also submitted a case with AMD to hopefully reach a solution.  Let me know if there is anything else we can try.

  • Try to go to the PvZGW2 launch file, which will be in game's folder (which, in turn, is in Origin Games folder) and right-click on it. Among the options you should see "Run with graphics processor". Hover your mouse over it. You should have your AMD card and integrated graphics card there. Select the AMD. That probably will do the trick. If after a single game it reverts back, select the 'Change default graphics processor' option. Now, I have Nvidia so I'm not sure how it looks for AMD, but it probably is similar. I choose "Program Settings", add Garden Warfare 2 to the list of programs that can be chosen and then select the GPU I want from the list.

    Hi @Lucaszties

For everyone you have both an Intel Chip and an AMD card, and the game refuses to work on AMD.

Tipe and search "cnext" in your Windows bar.Now duble click  on AMD SETTINGS.

Now in the upper left corner on AMD RADEON SETTINGS you will see ,,Gaming'' press on it.

In the upper right corner you'll see,, Add' -'click / -select ,,Browse'' and choose a game to Add -PvZ MW 2

Now you see your game PvZ MW 2 in RADEON SETTINGS, presses the 3 points next to PvZ MW 2 and select PLAY  - you can start the game from there to be sure that the game only uses this video card.

From there you can change your video settings for PvZ MW2.😉
