It looks like I got a hefty discussion to unload here!
In terms of the free-roam regions, I agree with @stukapooka & they should go full campaign or open-world. The locations in BfN have a lot of potential for one large free-roam region while the GW's maps work for linear progression solo play.
I feel like the economy was okay in BfN but had some loopholes which broke the system. Pretty much all currency loses value once you earn everything you can with them. As @Iron_Guard8 claims, yes, the ability to buy legendary characters is classic EA, but that doesn't let this game off the hook for allowing "legendary" upgrades being easily obtained if you can shell out money through Rux.
Speaking of prize maps, I second @Iron_Guard8 in which a less thematic, salt-provoking, & one that doesn't offer overpowered stuff could easily make them a lot better. It should be casual limited-time progression.
I like the clean HUD of BfN & oddly reminds me of modern Nintendo games. I'm glad stuff like this is easily yet perfectly designed. But yeah, I would still like to see my main's name when using it.
Giddy park is such a good idea ruined by the lack of natural AI encounters. This can easily prevent spawn camping when a Gargantuar is defending the spawn.
And about the game modes: the fact that BfN technically has less to offer online than GW1 does currently is appalling. That's not even accounting for the mess that is Ops which is a skeleton of its former self. Hopefully one day we can get back what is lost.
Last but not least, like @stukapooka said, BfN snipers are poor TF2 copies & their GW versions should make a comeback unless they can fully replicate TF2 (which would be nice but Widowmaker proves me otherwise).
