Did both of you receive the bulbs??
@ToastedSarnieI think you’re right and it was luck that we managed to do it the first time. We will do exactly the same thing today and will wait 5 minutes to see if this activity pops up again or if it’s something different!
Yes, both of us got 3 prize bulbs each, we both dealt about half the damage each! 😃🙂😃
- 6 years ago@TheSprinter85 That's great! I was so relieved to find out both players got the bulbs 😅

@ToastedSarnie There was a different thread on this forum regarding the same topic stating that apparently anyone who contributes enough will all receive this reward. I’m glad we both got this reward because I did not know if we would both received it until after we did it! 🙂
- 6 years ago@TheSprinter85 Yes, I saw that - very good news!!

I spend a ton of time in Giddy Park Public and haven't ever seen the Gnome hunt pop up so I uncharacteristically set my Park to private and jumped down to shoot targets and some weeds this morning and had the event pop up after somewhere between 5 and 10 minutes of goofing around. I'll try again tomorrow after I'm sure a full day has passed and see if the 3 Bulbs is repeatable.

what exactly is this? I saw the gnome finder today and it was filled up more than the other day. Do we go around the park looking for gnomes? TIA
- TheSprinter856 years agoHero
I went back to Giddy Park in Private and performed the exact same requirements to see if I got the gnome event again, about 5 minutes passed, but it was the bounties event, rather than the gnome one, so it seems to be down to luck! 🙂
- 6 years ago
From what I've observed, this is the sequence of events (Private setting)
1. Ride one of the rides to collect coins (might be carousel, gondola, etc)
2. Hidden treasure chest
3. Bounty skirmish
4. Trolley target shoot
5. Hidden gnome
So, if you enter Giddy Park and the 1st event you see is the Trolley target shoot, the gnome event will be next. What's random is where you are in the list when you enter Giddy Park.
The fastest way to get through the list is to actually do the event so that it ends faster.
- 6 years ago@FinallyInSeattle Wow, you must've been there ages?? Do you know how long the cycle takes, roughly?
Great observations, thank you! - 6 years ago@BlixGoblin I don't know either. I had the gnome finder but I didn't find anything in Giddy Park.
- 6 years ago@BlixGoblin & @ippig
Sorry, BlixGoblin, somehow missed your post!
You get a message saying something like the gnomes are trying to steal our gold & go down to the park. There's an invisible shooty gnome, who becomes visible when you follow the gnome finder to a small glittery pile in the park.
You vanquish the shooty gnome & get a gnome boss, who if you kill, awards a pot of gold throwing coins out & 3 prize bulbs.
It definitely works in private parks & if you have a friend with you who also does damage to the boss, they will get the rewards as well.
I don't know exactly what happens in public parks. - BlixGoblin6 years agoNew Scout
All I ever saw was a black and white meter with the words gnome finder by it.. Is that it? I did look around the park when I saw the meter was half full yesterday but didn't see anything unusal.
- 6 years ago@BlixGoblin Yes, you need to travel around in different directions until the meter starts showing some yellowy-orange to show you've started going in the right direction.
Carry on moving around until the meter fills with red & you should find a small pile on the ground. You won't see anything until you find this pile, then the shooty gnome will suddenly appear.
I think there's a time limit on finding him.
Once you get the boss, you'll see the crossed swords indicating a battle, so don't give up if you die, get back down to that indicator & carry on. - 6 years ago
@BlixGoblin
Yes thats it... although havent obseved how the meter works exactly but presume its a a hot/cold kinda thing so you know when you are getting close to the gnome...
You need to look around the park and find the glittery pile and the gnome will be close to that.... you can see a kinda outline of him... if you shoot that he will appear.... he is a little gnome and you have to kill him before the HUGE gnome appears 🧙 kill the big one and youll get 3 bulbs and a pot of gold spewing coins 😃 - BlixGoblin6 years agoNew Scout
wow. okay! I will look harder. I thoght it was the hot and cold thing like GW2's find the friend in the backyard. thanks! I tried looking for it this morning and did the trolley target shooting and then that went away and then nothing.

@BlixGoblin

Good luck 😃 - BlixGoblin6 years agoNew Scout
thanks! checked it out but why isn't there a black and white meter? I never saw anything about a gnome trying to steal something. lol I will definitely keep an eye out and look around even more next time!
Hahahaha.... yes I guess that's true to be honest I have only ever noticed the meter once.... not sure you should worry about that... just look for the notification of the gnome being about and look for the sparkly pile in Giddy Park. The messages like they are stealing something don't really help you at all....
You get the notification, you find the glittery pile... kill the little gnome... then kill the big gnome... and thats it tbh.
I think @TLEsquire has pointed out somewhere on the forum/this thread that the notifications can be easily missed... and as for the meter orexactly what they say ie. they are stealing something... I haven't found these helpful one wee bit. - 6 years ago
@BlixGoblinThe message is just like one of those little ones you get for treasure chests & goes quite quickly.
ADDED: I think the meter is really useful, but it often takes a while of moving around before it starts changing colour, so it is more than possible you'll come across the pile by yourself.
Hah... so the meter does work then... interesting.... why am I never seeing it?.....I am away to check i out 😃
Sorry @ToastedSarnie didn't see your post.... my notifications are away with the fairies still 😃 - 6 years ago
@asabaida🤣🤣🤣 No worries! Good luck, I've been waiting AGES for him to turn up!! 😥
ADDED: My notifications were funny the other day, so I cleared my search history & then they seemed better yesterday - but they've actually suddenly gone wacky again. Wonder if there's another problem??

The meter is a little flakey. The very first time I had it pop up and fill, I couldn't find anything and last night one time I got the message but no meter, I was able to find the clover patch on my own and hunt the gnome down anyway.
I vanquished him twice last night so that was 6 bulbs! This was on 2 separate trips to my private Giddy Park.
And the 3 bulbs you get from killing the gnome will stack in past the 50 bulb limit. Im sitting at 60 now.
- 6 years ago@The-evil-jok3r REALLY?! Wow, that'll be great if I ever get that far this month! 🤣
- 6 years ago
I've seen messages about the gnome leaving my park twice now but did not see the one about him arriving or stealing anything and no meter. It's a little annoying when I'm basically there trying to experience this event lol
- 6 years ago@TLEsquire Yes, I agree. I found the post by @FinallyInSeattle very helpful though (page 2 of this thread, I think) where they've amazingly listed the order the Park games cycle round in - Trolley Targets is the one before Gnome Gnight, so when Trolley comes up, you know to pay more attention!!
