Intel isn't more advanced than AMD/ATI. AMD puts out a much better APU that can play these games fine. Intel simply doesn't and hasn't kept up on it's IGP. Intel wasn't the first to x64 either AMD was first (they copied AMD here for a bit). Top it off with an integrated memory controller which took a couple years for Intel to catch up. Currently Intels are faster at many things but they're also a larger company. If you buy an Intel based motherboard and an Intel CPU you're going to have to throw in a low end graphics card at the least it's that simple. If you want some light gaming the R7 cards were a good bang for the buck. Typically the AMD cards in the lower end offer better performance and cost than Nvidia. Nvidia cards are great as well.
There's little excuse to have this problem in this day and age with all the review sites and information/forums that are around now. Do your research before commiting to a product purchase. Buying a laptop? Make sure it has mobile graphics. That means you might have to spend a little extra to make the thing last longer and play games.
