Guests using unlocked character variants

I know for a fact that the first 2-3 days of playing this game, when i would sign in, and then do split screen with my wife or son, they would be able to select that characters that i had unlocked from GW1 and from character packs in GW2. They would have to hit (ps4) cirlce, to cancel creating an ea / origin account, then x to confirm, then x again to confirm that they wouldn't be saving progress. Then they could select from the 60 or so characters that have been unlocked. Then we created the EA origin account for my son (underage) and we lost that ability for him. He would in essence be starting from scratch. However, my wife, who didnt create the origin account, and who was still signing in as a guest and could select all characters. We have since created an account for her, so that she can do the 1 player campaign etc... I fully accept this and get it.

However, we have created a new account on our PSN and we have not signed into an origin account and that guest can no longer select all character variants that the group leader has available. I know, know, KNOW, this is not how it used to be! When did this change? Why did this Change? and how can we get it back? I do not want, or expect my son to have to grind to get all the characters that were earned during PvZ1 when the guest was able to access all characters, and there was no need for him to have his own origin account.

I came to this forum to ask the same question.  I bought the game to play with my daughter.  How can we both have access to the characters I unlocked?  I usually end up giving her my controller so she can pick whomever she wants to play and then I'm stuck with the stock characters.  We have no interest in unlock characters on another account and just want to share the ones on mine.

Yeah I'd like to be able to play with my wife.and daughter using my unlocked variants also. It really doesn't make any sense having local split screen and not being able to access the goods on the second player.

Same here! Can we fix so I can play with my wife as an unlocked character?

In the first garden warfare, my kids could both play all the unlocked characters. Now, only 1 can.  Any one have any ideas why not?

Yes we had that same issue.  At first the kids could have the same characters, and thenit wanted us to have a new EA account so we set up my husband and now they do not have the same characters, which makes a HUGE problem in this house and causes a lot of stress.  Is there a way to fix it so both players can have the exact same characters.

Also I followed the directions on how to get our characters from GW1 to GW 2 but they would not transfer.  I still have not been able to get them to transfer.  Very disappointed...
