Guide to Bots!
Hi players,
This guide here covers the Bots that are available in the game and their uses, such as which ones you have available for use and in which modes you are able to use them in. I will also provide extra information as well. There are 3 kinds of Bots: Range, Support and Melee. Ranged bots can attack from decent, but varying, distances, and damage enemies. Support bots can stun your enemies or heal your team. Melee bots can deal decent damage, but are restricted to combat at short ranges only.
THE BOTS
There are a total of 9 Bots available to be placed, they have no cost to be placed, but all of them (except for Rocket Bot) require a cooldown before they can be placed again. Bots are available for use in Graveyard Ops, Gnome Bomb and Turf Takeover (only for Zombies, and only if they are defending).
RANGED
Rocket Bot
The Rocket Bot is a Bot that can be placed as often as desired, without limitations or cooldowns, and shoots Rockets at Plants that deal splash damage.
"Fires explosive rockets with splash damage."
Good Situations To Use This In: When there are multiple clustered enemies nearby.
Good Places To Summon It: Front lines.
Gatling Bot
The Gatling Bot is a variant of the Rocket Bot that shoots at a faster rate, but it does not have splash damage.
"Shoots rapid-fire bursts and has good range."
Good Situations To Use This In: Against enemies at longer ranges.
Good Places To Summon It: Close to the front lines.
Hide-n-Shoot Bot
The Hide-n-Shoot Bot is a sniper Bot that can hit plants accurately and hard from further distances, however it shoots slowly and hides when a Plant approaches it.
"Shoots long-range, high damage beam, but hides when plants are near."
Good Situations To Use This In: Against single enemies.
Good Places To Summon It: In hidden locations where it can still hit enemies.
Mr. Electro
Mr. Electro is a Bot that can deal electric damage to nearby Plants when Plants are hit by this, meaning it is useful against groups.
"Shoots high voltage lightning bursts that arc to nearby targets."
Good Situations To Use This In: Against multiple enemies, especially if close to each other.
Good Places To Summon It: Near the back lines.
SUPPORT
Loudmouth Bot
The Loudmouth Bot is a Bot that stuns enemies that get close to it. If they get stunned, their movement is very limited and they cannot attack or use abilities for a short while, giving your team time to vanquish that enemy.
"Shouts loudly, stunning plants in nearby proximity."
Good Situations To Use This In: Against enemies that are approaching the objective or your team.
Good Places To Summon It: Close to objectives.
Dr. Heals
Dr. Heals is a Bot that can heal all Zombies near it, by producing a healing aura. It can heal unlimited zombies at once, however it has a short range and it cannot deal damage to Plants.
"Heals nearby zombies but has no defence against attack."
Good Situations To Use This In: While taking a lot of enemy fire or after fights.
Good Places To Summon It: Hidden at the back, protected from enemy fire.
MELEE
Boxer Bot
The Boxer Bot is a Bot that punches Plants that get close to it fairly rapidly, which deals pretty decent damage.
"Combo punches nearby plants."
Good Situations To Use This In: Enemies approaching the objective.
Good Places To Summon It: In the front lines.
Explody Bot
The Explody Bot is a Bot that releases massive, shockwave-based explosion whenever a Plant gets close to it, which does insane damage. It is a melee attack, so it cannot deal damage at long range. There is a cooldown before it can do this attack again, during this cooldown it is defenseless.
"Explodes, damaging plants in proximity, but is completely defenseless until it gets a new gift."
Good Situations To Use This In: When enemies are unaware of it, or against grouped enemies.
Good Places To Summon It: Behind corners, near objectives, places where enemies are unaware of it, where it can be protected.
Breaker Bot
The Breaker Bot is a Bot that has a short range, and it does not deal a lot of damage, but it penetrates plant defenses well, which is good if there are armored Plants around.
"Throws hammers that damages plant shields and armor."
Good Situations To Use This In: Against shielded or armored enemies.
Good Places To Summon It: Near or in the front lines.
CONCLUSION AND AN OVERVIEW
So, Bots can have a lot of helpful uses. While they do not normally make major differences in gameplay, you actually get a reward for placing Bots and giving them uses, they are:
- 10XP for each Bot you place.
- 5XP every time your Bot gets a vanquish.
- More XP if your Bot performs specific actions, such as healing allies.
They normally are useful in combat situations as they have the capability of making a difference during fights. However, they require a cooldown before other versions of that Bot can be placed, and good placement makes a difference as well, so considering your placement and when you decide to use them can be really useful. You do not need to buy Bots in this game, so no money is needed to do this. Placing and using Bots is also a fairly effective way to level up your characters and give them some XP - including ones you are not a fan favourite of!
In all game modes, knowing the locations of where you can place Bots is actually really handy. It means that you know where you know where to go to start placing Bots in a match, without needing to look everywhere first and waste time. The Bot locations where you can summon Bots are always in the same location on the map.
Finally, try to place Bots early on in a match, so they can cooldown faster. Again, this helps if you know where the Bot locations are. They do not ever change in a map, so you will not need to rememorise things.
Well, I am done! Thanks for your time!

- @TheSprinter85 Great Thread.
When I began to play this game, my plant with full Health is vanquished only by one Mr. Electro.
This is because I attacked Mr. Electro while tried to evade its attack.
From this I learned that when I want to destroy a Bot, I should stay at a location to aim it.
