GW2 Crashing

I am having the same problem as the original poster, repeat crashing at random times in game. I have a GeForce GTX 550 Ti and I thought it was good but I guess its a step below the 600 series and I assume is why I'm crashing. I guess I need to save up $800 for a new computer before I can play this awesome game ☹️

If your Geforce is actually active, not being skipped by not having the display connected to it, then crashing would perhaps not be from the GPU, only possible slowness.   A desktop may have two video systems in it, but the design differs from a laptop, which only has one circuit from its mainboard to its display screen.  The desktop / tower has two separate video output ports. 

nVIDIA'S GTX 500 generation and their GTX 600 generation had a smaller difference between two "N40" cards than between a GT 530 and a GT 540, in terms of overall performance.  If we go to a website allowing direct comparisons, the GTX 550 Ti, if it is a desktop GPU, should be faster than a GT 640, also a desktop card. 

I cannot recall any major added feature between generations.  If we are instead attempting to compare unlike devices, a laptop GTX 550 Ti is probably not as speedy as a desktop GT 540 was, let alone a desktop GT 640.

Thank you for the reply. Mine is a desktop and I do not have a problem with any slowness whatsoever. My PC is 4 yrs old and I assumed would be good enough for GW2. But I am suddenly in the midst of playing getting an error that causes it to shut down.

What I have is a AMD FX 6100 6-core processor, 8GB RAM, GeForce GTX 550 Ti, Windows 10, 64 bit operating system, with 116 available GB in storage.

I am adding a DXDIAG showing my usual errors in case this helps with pinpointing the possible issues.

Looking at the new DxDiag Report, the graphics driver data is incomplete.  At least two lines there are empty that should be filled in, therefore, OTHER parts of the driver are almost certain to be missing as well!

You need to not only uninstall the current driver, you also need to run a registry cleaner such as CClean (free, from Major Geeks' software library), then reinstall using the Geforce driver site to get the drivers. 

I do use CCleaner, so will try your suggestions. Thank you for taking the time to try and help. We are total PvZ fanatics here and I'm so frustrated with it shutting down in the middle of the action.

Uninstalled driver from nvidia, ran ccleaner, installed new driver...went to PVZGW2 and within 3 minutes had another application error and game crash.

Also adding a new dxdiag......I am so frustrated that I may have to end up buying a new computer....and that's totally NOT in the budget.
