GW2 DLC, and why you should be happy about it

So I know that one or two people on the forums here are not happy that GW2 will not be getting anymore DLC. They say that it was not enough, and are disappointed by it.

You should be happy about the DLC we got.

First off, both installments of Garden Warfare got five DLC updates.

GW1:

Garden Variety DLC

Zomboss Down

Tactical Taco Party

Suburbination

Legends of the Lawn

GW2:

Graveyard Variety DLC

Trouble in Zombopolis Part One

Trouble in Zombopolis Part Two

Trials of Gnomus

Frontline Fighters

First off, Graveyard Variety.

This was a smallish update, but it had good DLC to start off the updates.

It included some customization's, map variants, and a map reskin from GW1, Aqua Center

Not really a whole lot to say.

Trouble in Zombopolis Part One

This was a pretty big update, and introduced us to...

Two new characters, Breakfast Brainz, and Toxic Citron, Customization's, and a whole new Herbal Assault map, Zombopolis.

This update also included bugfixes and character balancing.

This introduced us to Zany Zombopolis Packs, which (fun fact) were believed to have the highest chance of dropping a legendary sticker. This was impossible to prove, because of the extremely low drop rates, and was recently debunked, and 35,000 packs were confirmed to be your best chance.

Trouble in Zombopolis Part Two

This update was the second half of the Trouble in Zombopolis Update.

It introduced Community Challenges, which were a very highly requested feature.

Also included, was the addition of Delivery Missions, for those who like time trials, and a way to earn extra coins.

A "mystery" inside the Town Hall.

Trials of Gnomus

Possibly the biggest update for GW2, Trials of Gnomus brought us tons of new content.

For the first time, the Town Hall was opened, and Mystery Portal events were introduced.

New Game Mode- Super Mix Mode

New Game Mode- Cats Vs Dinos

New Game Mode- Boss Hunt

New Currency- Rainbow Stars, which can be earned by trading seven stars for one rainbow star, or participating in the Mystery Portal event.

New Map- The Trials of Gnomus, a special area with treasure and challenges, that could be unlocked with a key from the Town Hall.

New Challenges- Coloured Trials

There were four trials, each with a color. You could unlock them by opening the Mystery Chests in the Town Hall with rainbow stars. Only one key could be collected per event.

Two all-new character classes that can be unlocked by completing all of the trials, Torchwood and Hovergoat-3000.

Customizations, and Bugfixes.

Frontline Fighters

This update included...

New map, Frontline Flats.

New characters, Legendary Scallywag Imp and Commando Corn.

New Characters, Nec-Rose, and Captain Squack.

Customizations.

Bugfixes.

Sadly, Frontline Fighters was confirmed to be the last major DLC update for GW2. I figured I would make this post as both a recap of the last year or so, and as a reminder that we did get a lot of content in this game. And, GW2 launched with much more content than GW1. Sorry this post is so messy, it is three in the morning.

Hope you enjoyed!

  • You forgot to mention the Deluxe upgrade (2 new abilitys and z7 imp) and festive upgrade DLC (commando corn and scawlywag imp) which both include unique customization. Then of course now EA access legendary packs which all cost money.

Try to unlock commando corn and scawlywag imp in those packs (it cost me 20 million coins)
