I am playing garden warfare 2 with my son but on my xboxone and on my account. We want him to have his own characters and stickers but he couldn’t as a guest. I have made him his own Xbox profile and ...

    You will have to get another gold pass as you mentioned.

That’s correct. However you will still have to set up an origin account I believe. That should be free though.
