Solved

Hello Guys, This is my problem. Please help.

Hello guys I have a big problem with my game... (Sorry, English is not my first language)

I bought it 2 days ago, and the game won't start/launch for the first time, I tried literally everything, every single step gave by the hero Iluminate, Like these ones:

Can you try these steps?

1. Close any Background Apps:

2. DIsable your Anti-Virus, and make sure Battle For Neighborville has access with your Firewall

3. If you're using an Nvidia GPU, try disabling Scaling in the Nvidia Control Panel

4. Make sure your Drivers are up to date:

5. Create a new Temporary Windows User Account, and see if you're able to launch the game under that Account

6. Run Origin and Plants vs Zombies as Administrator

7. Clean Boot:

Even twice, I lost count on how many times I restart, so because I have nothing on this PC I'm going to full format it, then install windows 10, Update windows 10, update drivers, and then install origin and my game.

My question is, do I add anything before install the game? Like some codecs or wherever??

Thank you for your response.

And of course I add my dxdiag.

Have you also tried disabling the Origin in-game Overlay in the Origin Launcher, by going to Origin, Application Settings, More, and Origin In-Game?

Also, go to the Game Cover in your Library, Click on the Cogwheel, go to Game Properties, and disable the Overlay there as well.

I still believe that your CPU is causing issues with the game, if any of my other steps were not working for you.

  • Hey @zikosiss

Sorry to hear the steps that I've provided didn't help you.

However, I did take a look at your DxDiag that you've attached, and it looks like your CPU may be under the minimum requirements for the Game which can cause some issues.

You can take a look at the Specs here: https://www.ea.com/games/plants-vs-zombies/plants-vs-zombies-battle-for-neighborville/buy/pc-system-requirements

Also, to answer your question about installing "Codecs" or something else before installing Origin and the Game, you don't need to do that.

    Hey @zikosiss

Like I mentioned before, the CPU you have may be under the Minimum Requirements in the Link that I posted.

For Minimum, you'd need: CPU: AMD FX-4350, Intel i3-3220, or equivalent.

Or Recommended: CPU: AMD FX-6100, Intel i5-3570, or equivalent.

@iluminatethesky I tried every single one, and even after the full format the game won't start, I don't think I should do all the possible solution on a new formatted PC, even if I'm under the minimum requirements by a minimum margen, the game won't start even at all? Not even lag a little? That's why I'm a little sceptical, I think is something else.
