I understand that the following is required for Xbox Live:
- Port 88 (UDP)
- Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)
- Port 53 (UDP and TCP)
- Port 80 (TCP)
- Port 500 (UDP)
- Port 3544 (UDP)
- Port 4500 (UDP)
Those are all required to use Xbox Live, it has nothing to do with any of the other games that operate on the Xbox other than to make sure the Xbox Live Services work with them.
These:
- First, make sure you have the following ports open:
- TCP: 80; 3074; 53
- UDP: 88; 3074; 53
Are generally required for web login services most companies use for authentication servers, Port 80 HTTP, 53 is DNS, 3074 is the Xbox Live Game port (Required for all games). Now for multiplayer games like Destiny you also need the following TCP ports open (Xbox Specific):
- TCP: 7500-17899, 30000-40399, 1001,1200
- UDP: 1001, 1200
Those ports are required to communicate with the Bungie servers that run the multiplayer portion of the game. Without those extra ports open NAT sometimes gets confused and cause you to drop connections or be unable to log-in.
What I am looking for is those extra ports that are EA specific, that would most likely solve some of the network connectivity issues with the EA servers. Even games like Diablo have those extra ports posted so your connection can be improved.
For testing purposes can I ask that you power cycle your router and connect to it directly with a cable as I suspect your disconnecting issue may not be port related. Please do this and report back on how this works for you, thanks.
