Help with PvZ GW2

We bought pvzgw2 and initially were able to play garden ops but for the past few weeks it says "multiplayer error - unable to verify permissions to access online features. Please try again later"
Can you please help with fixing that

    Are you playing on pc or Xbox/Ps4? I think on consoles you need Xbox gold/PSN+ membership to play online. If on pc, I don't have a clue of what to do.
