PvZ 2's Wizard zombie, give them a character class that has AOE crowd control abilities and give the plants some of their own medicine. Plus the theme fits with Rose's medieval origins. In case you never played the dark ages update in PvZ 2, the Wizard zombie turns plants into sheep. Rose directly ripped off this guy's style. :P

Personally the best counter in the game to the rose in a 1vs1 duel is the roadieZ engineer variant. You can stun her with your megaphone, charge at her with your drill and the RoadieZ's main weapon actually slows plants hit by it as well as stopping their abilities from being used. It's the perfect class to use against her currently, although god help you if you run into two of the buggers.

Let's not fight cancer with cancer. Let's nerf Roses CC and not add even more to it with the game. Goat lasts much too long. The slow (I forget the name I never play her in pvp) should be just that, a slow. It shouldn't disable use of abilities as well. I can't see a direction forward with Rose that doesn't involve gutting her.

If they hit her damage, which they should, she still has 2 CCs that are immensely frustrating to play against and an invulnerability if she gets in trouble.

If they hit her CC, honing shot and the damage is still out of line.

Even if they halved her damage, honing shot is still a really stupid idea in a competitive shooter.

Personally I can overlook her insanely long lasting CC if they remove her ability to hone onto targets. That way she retains her niche as a CC Mage while still offering players a way to duel her.

Rose's crowd control will never be reduced to a satisfactory point, she's built from the ground up as an annoyance.

Yeah I'd say slight damage reduction, shorten goat time to be in line with other cc, and time snare is simply a slow where u can still use your other abilities.
